I went to Shobu Gakuen in Kagoshima City. It's been 8 years since I've been to Shobu Gakuen.

I was able to meet Mr. Shin Fukumori and his wife, and I was able to hear a lot of stories. Visiting the famous Nui Project, which includes a wood studio and gallery, a Japanese paper/painting studio, a clay studio, a Japanese paper clay studio, and a cloth studio, not only about the works, but also how they were produced and why they got there. I asked about the scenery of

The staff will put their hands on the created work and complete it.

I had some doubts until I looked at it from the definition of art and art brut, which emphasizes originality, but from the perspective of welfare, there is no problem. By doing so, the quality of the product will be improved. It was a wonderful landing of collaboration between people with disabilities and support staff. Above all, I thought that Shobu Gakuen is one of the ultimate places where Japanese welfare has reached. The newly built “Amua Forest” has a wonderful hall inside, and it gives us a glimpse of the future, where the welfare facility becomes a hub for transmitting culture in the region. (HN)

I definitely feel like I'm in a "utopia" here. It's very comfortable. Probably because the overall design is good, every corner is stylish, cute, cool, delicious, gentle, and interesting.

Everyone here is affirming and the mood is tolerant. I want to stay forever. That's why I make you think. In other words, if you take a step outside the school, it will be "difficult to live".

I would like people who are involved in welfare and support, people who are called teachers, people who are at the top of all industries, and people who are involved in social creation to experience Shobu Gakuen. I was excited about the fusion of the user's expression and the idea of the support staff. I love the ingenuity of pursuing the obvious, "I want it because it's a wonderful product!" Enchanted by the blouse in production. It would be nice if the market spread and I could buy it in Tokyo! What a selfish thing I thought. (CA)

At Shobu Gakuen, in addition to painting, there is also a workshop that uses cloth, wood, and soil to create a variety of works. In addition to providing a community interaction space within the facility, there are also delicious bakeries, shops where you can eat soba and pasta, donkeys and sheep walking, and nearby residents visit, creating a symbiotic society with nature. A Shobu Gakuen that can be realized.

Not only artists, but also many people who use it are lively, and it looks more like a town than a facility. For users, this may be a utopia. (TY)

Social Welfare Corporation Taiyoukai

Support Center for Persons with Disabilities SHOBU STYLE

The Support Center for Persons with Disabilities <SHOBU STYLE> provides a friendly, safe, and relaxed environment for people with disabilities to live better lives in the community.

Regardless of whether they have a disability or not, they break down the framework of those who need support and those who provide support, and through manufacturing, draw out the creative power inherent in people and work together. I dream of creating a community where people can share their joy. We would like to contribute to the possibility of creative welfare projects where people support each other, connect with each other, and create a life.
